Add school events to your Google Calendar — automatically

Connect your calendar, subscribe to your school, and you're done. Every event from every newsletter syncs to your phone. When dates change, your calendar updates. When events are cancelled, they disappear. You'll never be the parent who didn't know.

Three steps. Then it's automatic forever.

1

Sign up and connect your calendar

Sign in with your Google account — your calendar connects automatically. Or add a Microsoft account from your dashboard. You can also download our free iPhone or Android app.

2

Find and subscribe to your school

Browse our schools directory or search by name. Subscribe and optionally filter by year group — so you only see events that matter to your family.

3

That's it. Seriously.

All existing events backfill into your calendar immediately. From now on, every time your school sends a newsletter, the new events will appear in your calendar automatically. Date changes and cancellations sync too — and you'll get an email when something changes.

This isn't a one-time import

Unlike static ICS files you download once or dates you type in manually, Calendar Go keeps your calendar continuously in sync with your school:

  • New events from each newsletter appear automatically
  • Date or time changes update your existing calendar entries
  • Cancelled events are removed from your calendar
  • You get an email when plans change so you're never caught off guard
  • Every calendar entry links to the original newsletter for full context
  • Duplicates are automatically detected and prevented

Sync more than just school

Calendar Go can extract dates from any newsletter, flyer or invitation — not just school ones. Forward an email from your running club, share a party flyer on WhatsApp, or upload a sports fixture list. We'll pull out all the dates and sync them to your diary.

You'll also get a shareable link for each upload, so you can pass it on to friends and they can add the same events to their calendars too.

Common questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Calendar Go is completely free for parents. Schools can use it at no cost too.

What if my school isn't on Calendar Go yet?

You can request your school from the schools directory. You can also forward your school's newsletters to Calendar Go yourself in the meantime — you'll get the events in your own calendar straight away.

Does it work with shared family calendars?

Yes. Events sync to whichever Google or Microsoft calendar you choose — including shared or family calendars that both parents can see.

Can I sync events from multiple schools?

Absolutely. Subscribe to as many schools as you need. All events appear together in your calendar alongside your personal and work commitments.

Can I ask questions about events?

Yes. Calendar Go has built-in chat — ask things like "When is the next Year 2 trip?" or "What do the children need for World Book Day?" and get instant answers from your school's newsletters.
